LightPool LumiDogs

For 2019 lumiDogs are back! In 2016 dog owners had the opportunity to attend workshops and create illuminated costumes for their dogs. Then there was a public show in St Johns square.
For 2019 the event is sponsored by Houndshill Shopping Centre. The workshops are 12th and 13th of October, details will be announced later. As part of The Carnival of Lights on Friday 25th October the grand finale will pick the best dressed pooch. Participants will then be encouraged to join us for a mass-illuminated dog walk.

Thanks to the Coastal Communities Fund, alongside further investment from Blackpool Council LightPool was back for 2016! LightPool 2016 is not just a projection show it is a festival consisting of many elements including LumiDogs.

Lumidogs culminated in an Illuminated dog walk with a star studded cast of special guests including Lucy Heath and Trip Hazard who were finalist from 2016 Britain´s Got Talent ´Crufts meets Cabaret´. The action takes place in St Johns Square from 6pm on Sunday 30th October.

LumiDogs

LumiDogs was first staged in 2014 and is back by ´pup´ular demand for 2016. This year it will be bigger and better. If your dog lights up your life this is your opportunity to really show them off in true Blackpool Illuminations style. On Sunday 30th October an illuminated parade will take place in St Johns Square for all participating LumiDogs. To take part FREE workshops will take place to create a costume for your pooch. There will be a great team of people to assist you in creating the costume, materials and light are provided. So if you fancy dressing up your dog as a unicorn, balerena, ballroom dancer, cowboy, aeroplane book yourself on a LumiDogs workshop. During the LumiDogs parade there will be a competition, prizes and celebrity guests from 'Funny Girls' and a very special celebrity canine guest and their owner.
Places for the FREE workshops are limited so book quick to participate in the parade.
